Thinking about Textile Waste and Recycling.jpg

Punar (meaning 're’ or 'again’ in Samskrita).

Through Punar, we upcycle textile scraps that otherwise would be discarded as waste and end up in landfills or water bodies. We collect scraps from Gujarat's local boutiques, tailors, and production houses and upcycle them into jewelry.

At Punar, we also collect temple floral waste. The flowers and coconuts offered to the Almighty as a symbol of our devotion, once discarded, are treated as waste.
We decided to hear the voice coming out of discarded flowers and coconuts and let them live forever by restoring the holiness of these offerings and not letting our devotion turn into pollution by repurposing them to dye beautiful clothes and textiles for you.

Every purchase you make with us contributes to a greener planet.

The beauty of handcrafted things isn’t found in the precision with which they're made, but in their harmless nature, cruelty-free history, and immense gentleness.
